Sometimes we can overcomplicate our haircare routine.
One of the biggest mistakes you can do is not section the hair. Sectioning hair makes hairstyling easy because you work with one section at a time. Whatever you do, don’t try to style (i.e. blow dry, flat iron, twist, braid) all of your hair at once, especially if you have thick or long hair. You will overwhelm yourself.
Start at your nape (or back of your head). Take your finger or comb and part your hair across horizontally in one or two inch sections. Style. Then repeat. Taking smaller sections will ease your mind and the strain on your arms.
This tip may seem like a no-brainer, but you will be surprised at how many people still do not utilize it.
