Our Favorite Leave-In Cocktail

If you read our post entitled, Product Review: Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Line, then you know we were not fans of their leave-in conditioner. We were looking for a moisturizing product, but instead, it made the model’s hair stiff as if hair spray was applied. It doesn’t matter if you use heat or not, leave-in conditioners are essential to your hair’s health. Please keep reading to hear about our favorite leave-in cocktail.

Our Favorite Leave-In Cocktail

Before we explain our favorite leave-in cocktail, we want to stress we have been using it for years! We may try other products for reviews, but we always come back to old faithful.

For years, we have used H2 Thermal Heat Activated Hair Repair Treatment. Over the years, the packaging has changed, but we still love it. We must admit it is expensive! It costs $24.95 on Amazon.com for a 1.7-ounce bottle. However, few other products give us the same shine and softness. What makes this leave-in conditioner unique is microbead technology called Moisture Infusion Microbeads (MIM). When heat (e.g., blow dryer) is applied, nourishing conditioners are released into the hair shaft.

The other leave-in we adore is the Herbal Gloss Heat Protector from Hydrathermal Naturals. The Herbal Gloss Heat Protector is transparent and lightweight. It costs $13.99 for a 4-ounce bottle. We love that it doesn’t weigh down the hair, adds shine, and protects the hair from heat and sun damage.

Mixing these two powerhouse leave-ins in our palms and adding it to our hair (concentrating on the mid-lengths down) gives us needed protection from heat damage, adds quality ingredients like shea butter and jojoba oil to our tresses, and keeps our hair lightweight and bouncy.

While we can’t promise this leave-in cocktail will work for your hair, it is the best we have found over the years. If you try it, please let us know of your experience in the comments! HHG!
